"Not called!'" did you say? "Not heard the call," I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear Him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help.

Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters and servants and masters not to come there.

Then look Christ in the face ~whose mercy you have professed to obey ~ and tell Him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish His mercy to the world.

~stuck~

Last nights "grand abenture"? Getting stuck on the one road out of Pampay.

After our Mens Outreach in the pouring rain we hopped in the Mission Van and began to make our way out of Pampay. About 3/4 of the way out there is a pretty significant hill to climb. We did not make it. The rain had partially washed out the road, making the tires get stuck in the mud. We hopped out and walked the rest of the way out.

One rope (broken twice), several "gunning it" attempts, men from our team and Pampay splattered in mud pushing, several songs of praise, many prayers, 15 wet and muddy team members, and 2 hours later, our van made it to the end of the road! (Praise God! All 15 of us were just about to hop in the back of the flat bed and ride it home! Something that last year I deemed unsafe, seemed perfectly reasonable at a time like this!)

Just that morning in church, we read Joshua 1:9 ~Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.~ Last night, God was with us. Soaking wet, cold, at the top of a mountain, listening to a pack of barking dogs, wondering how we were going to get back to our hotel. God was with us.
