Paulina is one of the most beautiful women I know. 2 years ago, while living in Pampay, her husband passed away leaving her to raise her 6 children on her own. Her inlaws in Pampay disowned her, and she moved to the village of Parrojas. Even with help from AOJ and her mother and sister, Paulina and her precious children have struggled to survive. This week, Paulina received the gift of a new home.
Today we returned to Paulinas home to bless it, and bless her. She and her children have been sleeping on mats on the dirt floor of a cornstalk hut. Tonight, they will be sleeping on their new beds in their new homes. When they wake in the morning, warm and dry, they will eat a meal using their new pots, pans and dishes.
While we prayed and sang with this precious family, we were moved to tears. I am not sure I have ever been in the presence of a more grateful family. But perhaps the most precious gift we gave Paulina today was the gift of Gods Word and Gods love flowing through us. It is my prayer that she and her children would grow to know God... to serve God... to love God... and to trust Him in all things.

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name
