We spent the day at the AOJ School in Parramos doing a "mini VBS today". While I hated being away from Pampay, being in Parramos meant being able to spend more time with my sponsor children. They always seem to spot me first. I mean, it is not uncommon for the children to just come running up to any / all of us for hugs. But it is so great to look down and recognize the two little faces staring back up at you. The joy in their eyes is unmistakable. They know you, and they love you. It's crazy really. If I heard it once today from my girls, I heard it a hundred times... "te quiero much"... I love you very much. Words that melt your heart.
We made Salvation bracelets with them today... you know... the ones with the different coloured beads that represent heaven, our sin, the blood of Christ, our pure heart, and our spiritual growth. Coolest part of the day? Getting to sit with Lidia and Evelin and help them make their bracelets.
Lidia and Evelin, te quiero mucho tambien.

"Not called!'" did you say? "Not heard the call," I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear Him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help.
Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters and servants and masters not to come there.
Then look Christ in the face ~whose mercy you have professed to obey ~ and tell Him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish His mercy to the world.
