"Not called!'" did you say? "Not heard the call," I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear Him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help.

Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters and servants and masters not to come there.

Then look Christ in the face ~whose mercy you have professed to obey ~ and tell Him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish His mercy to the world.

~angels rejoice

One of the tasks given to our Medical Team on this trip was to talk to the women of Pampay about womens health issues and birth control.  The challenge seemed a bit daunting. We were fully aware that this was not a topic that the men would be happy about. It is difficult to fully understand their culture, their views on children and how (if) they make the decision to stop having children.

We wanted to make our time with the women as friendly and inviting as possible... cookies, coffee, open format... We began our talk to a small group of women. By the end, we had more than 30 eager and participating women in front of us.

At the end of our talk on womens physical health, we shared a bit about their spiritual health. Near the end of the talk, the question was posed: Do any of you want to know your Heavenly Father? There was what seemed like a silence in the room... a silence that broke through the cries and laughter of the children. Then one brave woman stood up and came forward. As we carried on and ended our presentation of the Gospel, five other women joined her. Praise God! It was so evident that God was moving in that room as we prayed for and over those beautiful women.

Today Heavens angels rejoiced. Today six beautiful women secured their eternity with their Savior. What an incredible privilege it was to be used by God to further His Kingdom!
